Friday Jul 28, 2023

Today, most of our production is oil and gas, but as bp transitions to an integrated energy company, that will change. These are the stories of the employees who are helping bring the strategy to life. This second episode focuses on our mobility and convenience business, and the people who work at bp retail sites and behind the scenes, serving customers every day at more than 20,000 locations worldwide. These local stores are often critical to the communities where they operate and bp teams form a close bond with regular customers.

In this second episode of Who We Are: Stories of our people, hosts Kerry Dryburgh and Emma Delaney chat to three guests who share experiences of supporting their local communities, both as part of their every day and in times of crisis.

Episode 1

Wednesday May 10, 2023

Today, most of our production is oil and gas, but as bp transitions to an integrated energy company, that will change. These are the stories of the employees who are helping bring the strategy to life. This first episode focuses on Teesside, a former industrial area of Northeast England that once produced steel used all over the world, including for the Tyne Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Today, bp is working with partners to advance components of England’s East Coast Cluster -a vision for decarbonizing local heavy industries at scale and one of the first two carbon capture, usage and storage clusters to be taken forward by the UK government. Learn more about Teesside here.

In this inaugural episode of Who We Are: Stories of our people, hosts Kerry Dryburgh and Emma Delaney chat to three guests who know the area intimately, to find out how they started working for bp, more about the jobs they are doing, and what the project means to them.
